![]() Terry Kingsley-Smith is both an actor and an author. Four of his novels have been published, the last two exclusively in England. An earlier novel, The Murder of an Old-Time Movie Star, won the Porgie Award for best new detective fiction. Many of his plays have been performed in Los Angeles. His contribution to the play The Bar Off Melrose won the Los Angeles Dramalogue Award. Another play, Breaking Up The Act, has been performed across the country and will be presented this summer in Australia by the theatre which actress Cate Blanchett runs with her husband. As an actor, Kingsley-Smith has appeared in many Los Angeles television shows and in several plays in that city and on tour. Here in Monterey he has performed at Western Stage, Monterey Peninsula College and at the Cherry Arts Foundation where another play of his, Stage Mother, was presented sometime back.
